It is always safe to use shave gel or cream to have a safer shave. You can use shave gel and cream on your legs, underarms, pubic area, or arms. It is better to use shave gel instead of regular soap because the gel and cream helps the razor pick up all the hair.  There's different kinds and different ones you can use to your liking. There's also different smells and different ones for sensitive skin.
